Toilet training again, this time it's Remy's turn.

Here we go again toilet training, puddles on the floor and foreign objects. Yuck! I've been putting it off but Remy is now 2 and showing signs that she's a where of what's going on so lets give it ago while we still have warm weather. Remy's so sweet when she does a puddle on the floors she always looks at me and says "Sorry Mummy"....then sometimes she turns around and puts her hand in it and says "Puddle" and starts splashing in it. Hmmm cute moment destroyed! For such a cute little girl is fairly gross at times, can't mention all the stuff she has done as it's not all good for the internet. I will remind her at her 21st though.

If Remy runs around with her nappy off she will go to the potty when she needs to go but if she has nickers on she will wet them and then run to the potty. I think she thinks that she still has her nappy on she'll get there eventually. Stay tuned for the good stories I'm sure there will be a few rippers there always is with potty training.

Lately the kids have been a nightmare to put to bed it can take up to an hour to get through the whole routine of putting them to bed. They now both use the excuse that they need a drink of water, or need to go to the toilet arghhh! Tonight when Remy was preforming her bed stalling tactics she told me that she wanted to do wees so I put her on her potty, I came back in a minute to get her off and she told me "Not yet"...."Not finished". She is sounding more and more like her brother every day. So I went into the next room and continued to hang up the washing. I heard her get off the potty and scuffle around the bathroom, pulling things out of the cupboard. I called out "Remy you have 2 minutes before I'm putting you back in bed" She was startled by my voice and scuffled back onto the potty. I can in and sat down on the toilet waiting for her to finish. Remy then got off the potty, picked up the kiddie seat for the toilet and hell it up beaming then said "Want dis". Too funny.

Remy had put Piggy (her favourite soft toy) in a wee puddle earlier in the day and he was still wet so I put her to bed with out him, I was interested to see if she could sleep with out him. 5 seconds after I had put her back in bed she came out again, I gave in and got piggy. She was over joyed to see Piggy calling out "Piggy your back" giving him a big hug. She then looked at piggy and said "I'm so happy". She seems to be growing up way to fast.

Windsor Castle

I must admit I went to Windsor Castle for my parents thinking that it would be average. I was pleasantly surprised, the rooms in the castle are well maintained and something to be proud of.

Marg and Nev in front of the court yard.

Nev actually managed to work his Audio device.

I was a bit shocked to see a woman as the Queens guard. Call me old fashioned but I like my guards to be men, she did do her job well though as she didn't smile once.

I took this photo for my mother as this pub had amazing amount of hanging baskets.

Battersea childrens zoo with Nanna and Pa

I took Nanna, Pa and the kids to the Battersea Childrens farm, well I tried. It was supposed to be a 35min trip and I turned it into a 1hr and 15min saga. Nothing has changed I'm still terrible with maps and directions and now everything is in English.
Lucas got a lesson from Pa about all the animals. He was quite interested.

Remy on the other hand demanded that she wanted to go in the yard and hop on the Donkey.
Poor Nanna was left to explain why she couldn't go in to see the donkey.

Pa was desparate for Lucas to get on the red tractor so he could take a photo but he wouldn't so he got a photo of Remy on the tractor and even she didn't want to stay on it long. They were more interested in the fire engine. Oh well they are city kids, and they love Fireman Sam.

The play ground was quite good at the zoo and we had trouble getting the kids away from it to and go over and see the animals.

Paul and Zoe came to visit.

Paul Lou's cousin and Remy's god father and his wife Zoe came to stay for a couple of days. The kids adored them, and we enjoyed taking them out for dinner at the pub. Although Zoe's stories about her home town in South Africa where really sad. It was a real awakening for us to hear from a local about the tragic situation over there.

Paul showed Lucas how to do the "Claw".

Remy adored Zoe.

Zoe and Paul packed and ready to go catch their plane to Africa.

Day trip around Edinburgh

We took a tour around Edinburgh on the "Hope on and off bus" which was a great idea as we were all a little tired to walk around and Lou was wounded.

I love it the flowers in the hanging baskets match the shop.

Lucas the tour guide.

Yes that's the castle we were too lazy to go visit it so that the best shot I got of it while traveling on the "On again off again bus".

We were all a little bit tired it had been a big weekend.
