Feb 2008 Nanna up date part 3

When Remy was 5 months old we helped out another mother from the Vienna Baby club who sells babysling as she needed some babies for her photo shoot. Remy who is normally a very smiley baby but on the day of the shoot she wouldn't smile at all as she had had an injection that week. They were lucky to get the photo below. So now Remy may appear on the babyslings poster. Which would be put up in a couple of kids stores here.

Since Remy started crawling she has been flat. She check everything out, here she in the plastic container cupboard."Mum".............Not now I'm busy!We had Remy's mothers group meeting at our house today. Below is Camila and Luke

Remy is the eldest in the group so she is a little ahead of the others at the moment. The others aren't crawling yet. Remy demonstrated crawling by crawling over the other babies and if that wasn't bad enough she also stole there toys. Hmmm I think that's her big brothers influence.Remy walked from one end of the T.V cabinate to the other end trying to get peoples food that they had left on it. Cheeky. This is the first time that I've seen her cruise on the furniture...Slow down Remy! You are only 8 months.

Feb 2008 Nanna up date part 2

Lucas at his "little big ones" class. It's an english speaking class for toddlers, they sing songs, craft activities. He loves it. below is Lucas, Kaya and james. ( I forget the name of the blond kid)

What are they teaching our children?

Remy has just turned 8 months and she is crawling everywhere. Lucas drives around on his car and Remy follows him, he thinks it's great fun.. Then he drives the car into her...oh dear.
When Remy in not crawling or eating Lucas' train set she's focusing on her next ambition which is to stand up. She pulls herself up on anything and everything. I get a bit of a shock when I see her standing up in her cot. She is supposed to be a little baby, she is growing up way too fast.

Today at "Little big ones" which is a music class for Lucas Remy kept crawling over and stealing the dummy out of the 4 month old baby's mouth who was lying on the floor. She's a determined little miss.

Feb 9th- 16th 2008 skiing trip to Tyrol

Last week we went on a family ski holiday with Lucas' friend Georgia's family. We all stayed at the Kroller Kinder hotel in Gemund, Tyrol (Austria). We left home at 10:30am and arrived there at 6:30.

The drive was supposed to only be 5 hour. Yeah sure! There was alot of traffic on the roads as it was school holidays.

We stayed in their new white building at the back.

They had a fantastic kinder room for the 2-6 year olds, which was staffed from 9am -8pm so that parents could go off and ski. We left Lucas at the kinder in the mornings and one of us went skiing while the other one looked after Remy (as she was too young for the kinder) and picked up Lucas for a nap at lunch times. Lucas love the slide at the playroom.

Lucas' aim was to walk up the slide.

This is Lucas' friend Georgia. Georgia has "no fear" she scares her parents with the things that she gets up too. She is a climber. Her parents think she would be a great "High tower diver". She was a great influence on Lucas who is too cautious at times. When Lucas saw Georgia going down the slide in the swimming pool Lucas rose to the challenge and eventually decided that he could do it too.
Georgia climbed into the linen basket...and of course Lucas had to do it too!

Poor Taylor Georgia's big sister got a vomiting virus the day we arrived and spent the first 3 days in bed.

I had a ski lesson and this is a photo of the group. Most of the people skiing at Gerlos Remy all rugged up in one of the hotels pram, she had a nap while Lou and Lucas went tobogganing.

Remy had a great time pulling her self up on anything and every thing.
Remy also started to say "Da...Da" to her fathers delight.

But to her mothers delight she started off saying "Mum...Mum" first.

Remy was also obsessed with the diaper bin in the bathroom, as soon as she saw that someone had left the bathroom door open she would crawl as fast as she could in there. She also was obsessed with the toilet brush in the toilet.

Unfortunately for the Mum's and Dad's but lucky for the kids our table was near the self serve ice cream fridge. They made a fresh batch of icecream every day. The kids would get half way through their meals then see the other kids getting ice cream and then demand ice cream.

We had a few tantrums while we were there. Lucas got the award for the biggest one and had to be taken screaming out of the restaurant one lunch time.....Arghhhhh the terrible 2's.

Lucas speech has come a long way he now understands "I" and says. "I am Lucas"

Feb 2008 Nanna's up date

Feb 4th 2008 Remy stood up in her play pen today, she wanted to see what her brother was up too she's on 6 1/2 months. We hope she slows down........arghh! Lucas seems a little shocked that his sister can stand up.

Jan 2008 Remy 7 months

Remy started sitting up when we were in Australia, before she had even mastered sitting she was pushing her self backwards and attempting to crawl. At 7 months she started crawling, he first crawl was over to get Lucas' sippy cup. She really. She now attacks all of Lucas' toys she particulary loves his train set, she pulls apart the train tracks and sucks on the trains. She also pulled up the carboard road that we had stuck to the floor for Lucas and chewed it. She also chews his books and attacks any news papers or magazines. Lucas thinks that she is a little bit of a menace.

Wow I didn't realise that Remy and Lucas looked a like until I saw these two photo's side by side.
