Where's piggy?

Last Thursday just before bed time piggy went missing. Piggy is Remy's comfort toy and best friend. Piggy gets stuffed into all sorts of places and left so we had no idea where she had put him. Remy screamed the house down that night until she finally fell asleep, but woke in the middle of the night upset, then woke early in the morning. Which turned into the trend for the week except she actually slept through the night but she would wake at 5am in the morning.
We tried substituting Mousie and she was very brave and cuddled Mousie but she there wasn't the same bond. Finally today a week later I found Piggy in our office toy box stuffed in the back of Lucas' truck. Remy was very cool and calm when I screamed out ...."PIGGY"!!!!! She just looked over said "Oh Piggy" and grabbed him. Mind you piggy went every where that Remy went for the rest of the day. Tonight bed time was bliss no screaming children, there is silence.

Remy is still obsessed with putting things in her mouth, it's probably because teething. Hurry up teeth everything is our place is getting chewed, it's like having a small dog.

Today Remy found an empty bubble container. She came straight over to me and said "Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles, want Bubbles" She very persistent these days and if she doesn't get what she wants then there is a melt down. I told her that the container was empty and that I'd fill it up will bubble mix later and we would blow some bubbles in the bath tonight. She seemed surprisingly ok with that answer and she was off.

Next thing I saw was Lucas walking out of the toilet and Remy was no where to be sight but I could hear noises coming from the toilet. I went to see what was going on. Well, the floor was wet, at first I thought "oh dear Lucas has missed the toilet" and then I looked at Remy and she was wet all down her front and her socks were wet. Then she proceeded to put the bubble jar in the toilet to fill it up with water. (Mine you Lucas had just peed in that toilet and he never flushes) .......Yucky! To make matters worse Remy then put the bubble blowing stick in her mouth. I thought Remy this has to top the list of the most grosses things that you have done.

Mothers day in London

Well I had my first British Mothers Day. I was allowed to sleep in to 9am but by the look of me I think I should have slept until lunch time. We all went for a walk to check out Chelsea Harbour, to be honest we weren't that impressed.

I love Magnolia trees! This is one that's in our street.

Finally Lucas gets a hair cut and little Miss Messy!

Finally we found time to take Lucas to the hairdresser. He looked once again a cool dude with short hair. His big hair image wasn't working for him.

Remy can't be left alone she's trouble, this week she stamped Lucas' stamp on the freshly painted walls in our house, drew on 3 books, pulled off Walle's arm and got pea's from the fridge and put them in her play saucepan. The peas ended up all over the floor and luckily for her the stamp marks washed off..phew!
She also tried to eat the washing machine soap tabs, Blu tack, and tipped all of Lucas' jigsaw puzzles out on the floor in one pile. Lucas will be busy sorting that out tomorrow.

Lucas trying to fill his Dad's shoes

Here's Lucas and Remy in their new room. I feel sorry for them as we have put them both in the smallest bedroom in the house. They are there because it's next to our room and we don't want them wandering around stairs in the dark. They seemed to be happy with their little room even though we haven't got them a bookcase yet or hung their pictures up.

Remy loves to get into Lucas' big bed. Lucas thought that it was fun having his little sister in his bed. Here they are showing me flat bear and piggy their sleeping buddies. They are getting a little scruffy these days and smelly, I'll have to secretly wash them again.

Lucas was going through through Lou's sock draw as I was putting the washing away. Well trying. Lucas pulled out a pair of Louie football socks and said he wanted to put them on. He was quite amazed when they came up to his knees and grinned with delight. Gee Lucas needs a hair cut I don't think he's had one for 3 months.

Settlling in to London

Finally the kids have a back yard, mind you they have only been out there about 3 times since we have been here. It only gets afternoon sun and Lucas complains that it's too cold. Remy on the other hand thinks it's great and digs out all the stones from the pots and garden and puts them on the path. Thanks Remy! Remy at the age of 21 months has her back molar's and 4 teeth up the top and only 2 teeth down the bottom. She really advanced with her speech but soooo behind with her teeth.

Remy and Lucas have loved having all the boxes around the house to play hide and seek in. Lucas' gets a bit bossy if Remy doesn't play by his rules.

South park our local park - London

Remy's quite brave she goes down the big slide.

Lucas like the little climbing dome, he often outs out Spider man stories on the frame. Remy and I usually have to be Batman and Mr Incredible.

View of the play ground

There is a big boy section and Lucas loves the Tarzan rope, he actually loves that rope so much that I have a hard time getting him off it so the other kids can have a turn.

Look up in the sky is it a bird not it's a f.....king plane.
A couple time a month we are right under the flight path. It drove me totally nuts the first week as there is a plane every minute. They are on their way to Heathrow. They locals are totally used to the planes and they think I'm a bit of a whinger when ever I complain about them but for an Australia it freaked me out. We don't live right under flight paths. Most of London is under a flight paths so I had better get used to the planes. The kids think they are great..."look Mummy a plane...."Look Mummy a plane"...."Look Mummy a plane".

Our first weekend excursion in London at the Natural history museum

We were sick of boxes and unpacking so we thought we'd do something for the kids. We were heading to the Science Museum as they have a fantastic area for kids but Remy had a melt down on the way there. We actually had to go to the chemist and get her some pannadol and a dummy to calm her down. She scream the whole train trip and unlike being in Vienna I could understand what everyone was saying on the metro. She was teething and had had enough of all the change I think which was understandable. As soon as we gave her the pannadol she fell asleep in the pram which was a relief for everyone.
With the demanding toddler asleep we decided to go instead to the Natural history museum instead as Lucas loves dinosaurs. Lucas was a delight to be around he didn't run off and he was enthusiastic and talkative about all the different dinosaurs exhibits. Lou and I stood back in amazement watching him, that day we saw Lucas in a whole new light, we love "3 year old Lucas". ....and then Remy woke up and we we straight home before our bliss was shattered.

Lucas listening to Elephant noises on the phone.

Remy 20 months Nanna up date

Remy...or the "Muppy the Muppet" has grown up over night. She no longer wants to sit in her high chair, well actually she hasn't wanted to sit in her chair now for ages or wear her feeding bib. No one is allowed to feed her she has to do it herself and it you attempt to feed her then that's the end of the meal she'll refuse to eat and want to get down.

Anything Lucas says Remy has to copy. Her latest say is I "want one 2" then I "I want 2". She talks and communicates really well which is a relief as I'm sure that Lucas was a hell 2 year old as he had trouble expressing what he wanted...actually half the time I don't think he knew what he wanted. Remy knows what she wants and she'll throw a tantrum and cry if she doesn't get it but she will give up if I persist to say no and get over it which is a relief.

She's very cheeky, if she has done something wrong like e.g. bites Lucas when he has taken something off her she turns on the cute act and smiles at me sweetly and giggles when I tell her off for biting. They get a long well most of the time but when they fight it's war. Lucas did say to me this morning that Remy is his best friend.

They are on their own little wave length at times and they giggle for ages over the silliest of things, it's very cute to watch. I was going to put them in separate rooms in London but they enjoy sleeping in the same room so we won't separate them yet.

She is fearless, she will climb up and go down all the big slides at the park, and chases after big dogs. Lately she'll grab my hand and say "Mummy come on" and drag me to what ever she wants to play with or to the fridge if she wants a drink.
